Biography
Dr Yeung-Ae Park is an Australian-trained endocrinologist and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedicine and a Doctor of Medicine with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne, and completed her endocrinology specialty training across the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Eastern Health, and Monash Health. She has pursued academic training in clinical research through Harvard Medical School.
Dr Park undertook an andrology (male reproductive endocrinology) fellowship at Monash Health / Hudson Institute of Medical Research, enabling her to provide comprehensive care for patients with pituitary pathologies and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. She conducts molecular studies of pituitary tumours to advance precision medicine in pituitary disease through her PhD work at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and the University of Melbourne. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences and featured in the US Endocrine Society Thematic Issues.
Dr Park is the recipient of several prestigious academic awards including the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Postgraduate Scholarship and the Melbourne Academic Centre for Health (MACH)-Track Scholarship. She co-leads the Australian arm of the international prospective PRolaCT-O clinical study, which compares surgical and medical treatments for prolactinomas. Dr Park provides perioperative pituitary endocrine management and consults in multidisciplinary pituitary clinics at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne Private Hospital, and serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of the Australian Pituitary Foundation.
Beyond pituitary disease, she sees patients across the full spectrum of endocrinology, including diabetes, weight management, thyroid, adrenal and bone disorders.
